Purpose of Meditation and Yoga Nidra

The word meditation is nothing new. It has always been within you. You come into this world with meditation. Your mind may be new, but the focus is within you – your inner being is nothing but the sky within you. Clouds come and go, plants come and go, stars appear and die, and the sky within remains the same, spotless and still. This inner space, the witness, is the whole purpose of meditation.

Meditation is nothing more than putting your mind aside and bringing in a witness that is still there but hidden under the mind. When the witness reaches your center and you attain enlightenment, there is no longer any problem – in the words of Osho.

Yogi Initiation with Vishnu

Yogi Vishnu is one of the star meditation teachers in India. Practicing from an early age and having learned from many gurus, he has gained deep experience that he shares with students in many forms. All our teachers are highly qualified and trained by Guruji to make your experience truly memorable.

Learn in Trivandrum – The Place of Meditation: Trivandrum is filled with powerful spiritual energy. Learning meditation here is a blessing; for thousands of years, meditation has been practiced here by great sages, and this energy can easily be felt by every sincere student.

Everyone is Welcome

Meditation and Yoga Nidra are available for anyone who wishes to learn. No qualification is required. We will be sitting on the floor or on chairs for many hours. However, because of the intensity of practice, we do not recommend this course for people over 80 years old or for those with serious chronic conditions such as severe asthma, anxiety, or advanced arthritis.

If a person is confident, able to take care of themselves, and ready to practice, they are warmly welcome.

Meditation

One of the essential aspects of Yoga is the attainment of deep meditation, which leads to the ultimate goal of yoga. In our Yoga Teacher Training, we give equal importance to meditation and asana practice. During the course you will learn and experience many styles of meditation and contemplative techniques, both ancient and modern, such as:

Ayurveda

In our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Kerala, we incorporate the elements of Ayurvedic principles into the daily routine of the course. Each student has the chance to meet an Ayurvedic doctor, discover their constitution (dosha) and health condition, and receive dietary and lifestyle recommendations to support long-term well-being.

Food Preparation

According to Ayurveda, you are what you eat. We therefore encourage our students to adopt a sattvic (pure, honest, clean) diet during the course. Sattvic food brings lightness to the body and is very supportive of yoga and meditation practice.
