200 Hours Hatha Yoga Teacher Training — Course Highlights
Hatha Yoga
Traditional Hatha Yoga is the foundation of the training. You will learn standing, sitting, balancing, twisting and
inverted asanas with proper sequencing, breathing awareness and mantra chanting at the beginning and end of class.
The aim is to balance body and mind, build strength and flexibility, and cultivate a meditative state.
Adjustment & Alignment
Safe alignment is essential for both self-practice and teaching. In these workshops you will study how to enter,
hold and come out of postures safely, how to modify for different body types, and how to offer verbal and hands-on
adjustments to support your future students without causing injury.
Pranayama
You will practice classical pranayama techniques such as Nadi Shodhana, Ujjayi, Bhramari, Bhastrika and Kapalabhati,
along with breath awareness and bandha work. Pranayama strengthens the respiratory system, calms the mind and
prepares you for meditation.
Shatkarma (Yogic Cleansing)
Yogic kriyas like jala neti, sutra neti, kapalabhati and basic internal cleansing practices are taught
to help purify the body and remove energetic blockages, supporting deeper pranayama and meditation.
Recitation of Sacred Sound & Yoga Nidra
Daily mantra chanting, morning and evening prayers, and guided Yoga Nidra sessions cultivate devotion, inner
silence and full-body relaxation. You will learn how sound vibrations support healing and concentration.
Mudras & Meditation
Hand gestures such as Jnana, Chin, Yoni and Bhairava mudra will be introduced, together with different meditation
techniques including breath awareness, mantra meditation (AUM), trataka, concentration practices and silent sittings.
Teaching Methodology & Practice
You will learn how to plan and structure a yoga class, create themes and sequences, demonstrate asanas, use the
voice effectively, give clear instructions and hold space for a group. Supervised teaching practice with feedback
builds confidence so that by the end of the training you are ready to teach complete Hatha Yoga classes.
Anatomy, Physiology & Yoga Philosophy
Lectures cover the major body systems relevant to yoga (musculoskeletal, respiratory, nervous system and joints),
as well as yogic concepts such as the chakra and nadi systems, prana, koshas, the paths of yoga, and essential
teachings from classical texts. These sessions connect traditional wisdom with practical application on and off the mat.
