Please read these terms carefully before enrolling in our programs.

1. Social Media Content Sharing

Photography Policy: The Yoga Institute will capture pictures of various classes, sessions, and activities involving teachers and students. These images are intended for their various publications, including print and electronic media.

Privacy and Objection: The institute respects individual privacy. If anyone objects to being captured in a photograph, they are advised to step aside or outside the camera frame and inform their respective coordinators.

2. Payment

Payment Confirmation: After making a transfer, individuals are requested to send the payment receipt of their transaction amount for confirmation, which helps the institute track payments.

Alternative Payment: If payment via bank transfer is not possible, a payment link can be sent to the individual's email address. Further details can be obtained by contacting the institute.

Seat Booking: To book a seat in either the Yoga Teacher Training program or a short-term retreat program, the full fee must be paid. Seats are booked on a "first come first served" basis, according to the chronology of payment.

Transaction Fees: All transaction fees (e.g., those charged by PayPal, Western Union, banks) are to be covered by the student/applicant.

Rescheduling Due to Unavoidable Reasons: The institute will accept reserving a seat for another date only if there are unavoidable reasons. In such cases, the paid amount can be adjusted or used for any future course with the institute within one year from the original date of booking.

3. Cancellation Policy

Non-Refundable/Non-Transferable Deposit: The course fee, including any initial deposit, is strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.

Cancellation Due to Unavoidable Reasons: If a course needs to be canceled due to unavoidable reasons, the booking amount can be adjusted or used for any future course with the institute within one year from the date of booking.

Rescheduling Requirement: To reschedule a course, the institute must be informed at least two weeks before the course start date; otherwise, the entire fee may be lost.

No Refund for No-Show: There are 100% cancellation charges, meaning no refund, in cases of cancellation or no-show.

Institute's Responsibility: The Yoga Institute is not responsible for any mishaps that occur before the course schedule.

Right to Cancel by Institute: The Yoga Institute reserves the right to cancel any booking they deem necessary.

Institute-Initiated Cancellation Refund: If The Yoga Institute cancels a course before its commencement, the student will receive a 100% refund of the amount paid.

No Liability for Student Expenses: The Yoga Institute is not liable for any expenses incurred by the student (e.g., flight and train tickets), even if the training is canceled by either the participant or The Yoga Institute.

Consent to Terms: Payment of the fee implies consent to all the information, rules, regulations, terms, and conditions of The Yoga Institute.

Leaving Course Early: A student is free to leave the course at any time. However, in this eventuality, there will be no refund, and readmission will not be agreed upon.

4. Etiquette

Maintain a positive energy and attitude during training, acknowledging its impact on others.

Encourage acceptance of cultural differences, specifically noting that studying and practicing in India may differ from Western cultures, and appreciates an open mind.

Stress respect for teachers and fellow students, instructing participants to practice as taught and not their own series during class.

Advise against arguing or disagreeing with teachers based on past experiences, promoting an open mind and new perspective.

State the expectation for students to follow the Yamas and Niyamas (according to Patanjali) to the best of their ability.

Call for patience and kindness on the premises, requiring students/participants to treat all (teachers, staff, and volunteers of The Yoga Institute) with due respect and courtesy.

Explicitly state that the service of staff/volunteers shall NOT be utilized for private or personal work.

Mandate the observance of set times for silence.

Prohibit giving direct tips in cash or kind to staff/volunteers, mentioning that a box is kept at the office for appreciation.

Declare the prohibition of phone usage in class.

Instruct to observe silence during classes and especially during meals, for integration of absorbed knowledge.

Strictly prohibit physical relationships with other students/staff.

Inform that the schedule is subject to change, requesting flexibility and willingness to adapt.

Instruct participants to clean up their space at the end of class, picking up mats and placing them in designated areas as instructed.

5. Rules

Please treat everything in the room as your own. Any damage to the room or equipment shall be charged accordingly.

Students/participants are kindly requested to take care of their belongings. Management shall not be responsible for any loss.

Any damage to The Yoga Institute property/course material shall be charged accordingly.

Visitors of students/participants are allowed only between 10:30 am – 6:30 pm.

No visitors are allowed in the room.

The room/bed is non-transferable to anyone else.

Student/participant bears full material and legal responsibility for any loss, damages or destruction of furnishing/appliances / or any other property resulting from his/her fault or from the fault of his/her visitors.

Children have to be under constant care and supervision of adults. Damages or losses caused by children are the responsibility of their guardians.

No loud music is allowed on the premises.

Entry gates of the Institute will be closed after 10:00 pm daily. No person will be allowed to enter / exit after 10:00 pm. If anyone is found outside the campus after 10:00 pm, it will be considered as a violation of the Institute's discipline and laws.

Students/participants have to enter details on the logbook while they enter/exit the Institute.

Being in possession or consuming non-vegetarian food/alcohol/tobacco (smoking/chewing) and use of illicit drugs is STRICTLY PROHIBITED in the Institute premises.

Residential members are strictly not allowed to stay overnight outside the Institute.

All lights must be turned off by 10:30 pm latest.

No room service is provided.

Eating in class is prohibited.

In case of violations of the points mentioned above, management reserves the right to ask the person to leave the premises without entertaining any claim for refund.

We are not responsible for any activities conducted outside of our premises such as rafting and swimming in rivers, sightseeing tours, bird sanctuary trips, etc.

6. Code Of Conduct

Dress Code: Students/participants are required to be decently and appropriately dressed within The Yoga Institute premises. Strictly prohibited items include tight body-hugging clothes, short tops, shorts, revealing clothes, tank tops, low cut shirts, and short T-shirts. Ideally, participants should wear trousers, track pants, sleeved T-shirts, shirts, salwar kameez, or kurta pyjama. If a student/participant is inappropriately dressed, The Yoga Institute reserves the right to prohibit their entry into its premises. The Institute's decision in such cases is final and binding.

Attendance: All classes are mandatory. Only illness is an excused reason for absence. Even when ill, if capable, participants are encouraged to attend to observe and take notes. Participants are expected to be in class on time. If a participant is 10 minutes late according to the class time, they will not be permitted to join the class. Repeatedly being late or missing classes without an excuse will result in dismissal from the course.

Meals: During training, participants will be provided with simple but delicious sattvic food. The menu consists of four simple vegetarian meals and is not open for discussion or exceptions, unless there are allergies, which should be communicated in advance. The yogic lifestyle is not considered to demand a high-protein diet; sufficient protein is supplied by lentils and vegetables in the provided meals. If participants wish to supplement their diet with extra foods (e.g., nuts, vitamins), they may purchase these from local shops at their own expense. Participants are asked not to consume unhealthy or non-vegetarian foods. No outside food is allowed to be brought into the premises, with the exception of dry/fresh fruits. Food must be consumed only in the designated dining area. Participants are asked to avoid outside foods for reasons of cleanliness and "not knowing what type of energy the chef cooked with."

Evaluation And Certification: Admission to the course does not guarantee a certificate. Participants will be evaluated based on their teaching practicums, behavior, progress, and full attendance.

7. General Health Condition

Any health-related advice and suggestions given at The Yoga Institute should not be used for diagnosing purposes or be substituted for medical advice.

Always consult your doctor or qualified health professional on any matters regarding your health. Consult your physician before changing your diet, starting an exercise (yoga) program.

It is the sole responsibility of the students/participants to consult a physician prior to and regarding their participation in the programmes offered by The Yoga Institute.

Students/participants are responsible for their own well-being during the class and are advised to practice at their own pace, understanding their limitations.

Students/participants are required to inform their teacher if there have been any changes in their medical / health condition which might affect their participation.

8. Pregnant Students/Participants

Our classes, by default, are not suitable for pregnant students/participants, except the Pregnancy Camp. If any student/participant is pregnant and wishes to participate in any other programme they are necessarily required to discuss their options.

9. Indemnity

The Yoga Institute does not provide liability insurance for the protection of children, parents, visitors, or others who may participate in any of our programmes.

In consideration for their participation in any programme, the participants do hereby release and forever discharge The Yoga Institute and its directors, teachers, office bearers, and employees, jointly and severally from any and all actions, causes of actions, claims and demands for, upon or by reason of any damage, loss or injury, which hereafter may be sustained by participating in any of our programmes. This release extends and applies to, and also covers and includes, all unknown, unforeseen, unanticipated and unsuspected injuries, damages, loss and liability and the consequences thereof, as well as those now disclosed and known to exist.

10. Reference And Course Material

Students/participants may be given handouts, notes and reading material during their participation in our programmes. These are for the personal use of the students/participants only and cannot be circulated, distributed, printed, exploited, exhibited, transmitted, reproduced, broadcasted, adapted or posted in any public domain. Any such use shall amount to infringement of copyright and shall be dealt with strictly.

Teaching material is the sole ownership of The Yoga Institute and will not be shared.

Students are not allowed to take photos or videos during classes.

11. No Refund Policy

The Yoga Institute has a NO-REFUND policy for all its programmes.

NOT WITHSTANDING ANYTHING WRITTEN EARLIER, THE RIGHT OF REJECTION OR, TERMINATION FROM THE COURSE, SOLELY RESTS WITH THE MANAGEMENT OF THE YOGA INSTITUTE.
