A focused, 18-day teacher training retreat blending traditional Hatha Yoga with the profound practice of Yoga Nidra. Learn to guide deep relaxation, reset the nervous system, and hold space for emotional healing in a safe, structured way.
This 18-day, 200-hour teacher training is a concentrated immersion that weaves Hatha Yoga, pranayama, and Yoga Nidra into one coherent journey. You will learn how to guide students into the unique state of conscious yogic sleep where the body deeply relaxes and the subconscious can gently unwind.
Set against the sacred cliffs and beaches of Varkala in Kerala, India, the retreat invites you to slow down, simplify life, and touch a quieter layer of being. You will leave not only as a more skilled teacher, but as someone who has personally experienced the healing power of profound rest.
Varkala’s cliffs, beaches, and temple atmosphere create an ideal setting for Yoga Nidra practice. Early mornings by the sea and quiet evenings in the shala naturally support turning inward and letting the nervous system slow down.
Daily asana, pranayama, meditation, and Yoga Nidra sessions help you release your own patterns of tension and fatigue, so that when you teach, you do so from a place of authenticity, softness, and presence.
Please note: this intensive retreat is not suitable for those with very recent trauma, acute psychiatric conditions, or without the ability to participate in group practice and silence.
We host several 18-day, 200-hour Yoga Nidra & Hatha Yoga Teacher Training retreats each season. Shared and private accommodation is available inside or close to the ashram, with vegetarian meals included.
