Who This Retreat is For
You do not need to be flexible, spiritual or experienced. You only need a sincere wish to slow down and care for your body and mind for a few days.
Many guests come to Varkala feeling tired, overloaded or in transition. During your stay, we support you with a balanced routine of asana, breathwork, guided relaxation and silent time so that your own inner intelligence can re-organise itself.
Classes are kept small, allowing our teachers to offer individual attention and make adaptations for different bodies and energy levels. You are always encouraged to listen to yourself and rest when needed.
You will especially benefit if you:
- Feel mentally or emotionally exhausted and need a gentle reset.
- Have a regular practice but wish to reconnect with the roots of yoga.
- Are curious about living a simple yogic lifestyle near the ocean.
- Want to experience authentic Kerala culture and Ayurveda.
- Prefer a non-commercial, family-like atmosphere over a resort.
